Hi, I’m Filipe Pina, a Portuguese (from the city of Porto) software developer graduated from ISEP.
Born in 83, I’ve found my happy place behind the 9” glass of the Apple's Classic computer and playing on the good old NES in the early nineties. Fascinated by the idea of being able to automate stuff on my computer, I started learning scripting languages, specially RealBasic when it got its boom on the Mac plataform. Hanging the few minutes I had online on Hotline servers and IRC channels, in which I’ve learned most of the grounds I have on computer science.
At first, my plan was to develop mainly utility applications for the MacOS, later as the web and our presence online grew, I’ve moved my intentions from the desktop, to the web. Now I’m mainly developing web applications (allways as possible using Rails).
Feel free to follow me @filipepina on twitter or check my lifestream.
